The common problem with aviation wastegates can be leaded fuel build-up and the extreme temperatures they endure. X-GATE^TM was designed to funtion as a two step process. First, it works as a superior penetrating oil. It will seep deep into the metallurgy and break free carbon deposits left behind. Second, it has exceptional lasting lubricating properties that creates a micro barrier and continues to work well after the synthetic base oil has naturally evaporated off the metal.

Although X-GATE^TM is known for its significant penetrating abilities, its primary function is to provide lasting lubricity where it is needed at higher temperatures. This formula in its unique combination works significantly better for turbocharger wastegates than any other product on the market.

                       A closer look at X-GATE^TM and the competition

Commonly used Mouse Milk® is a light weight penetrating oil and is designed to free up parts and is formulated with a low flash point (@200ºF); therefore the product needs to be light in viscosity to work as designed. This product only gets half the job done.

X-GATE^TM is a readily biodegradable penetrating oil and is slightly heavier in viscosity than Mouse Milk®. Our penetrating lubricant has a significantly higher flash point (@580°F). When applied as recommended, this allows the lubricant time to penetrate by capillary action into nooks and crannies of the metal. X-GATE^TM has more than twice the surface life because of the evaporation factor compared to Mouse Milk®.

Even though our lubricant has a lasting penetrating effect, naturally, it will evaporate as the temperature rises above its tolerances. What is left behind is the secret that continues to lubricate. Our product does not harm the exotic metals typically found in aviation grade wastegate housings and linkages associated with turbochargers.

Our X-GATE^TM product is intended to be used sparingly and as needed. The bottle has a unique applicator to apply the product exactly where you need it. No open squirt bottle or spray that would make a mess and waste product. Unlike Mouse Milk®, it is both a penetrating oil and a lasting lubricant.

X-GATE^TM has been tested on a Piper / Lycoming turbocharger wastegate for a period of three years under the strict supervision of licensed pilots and a certified aviation mechanic.
